Valerie Anne McAvoy (Johns) passed away on 15th june 2003 aged 61. She lived in Leeds all her life with her parents Tom and Annie Johns and her 2 brothers and 1 sister. Sadly her parents passed away in 1979 and her 2 brothers have also passed away. Her only remaining sibling Jackie now lives in Brid. She had 2 daughters, myself Julie and my younger sister Tracey. At the time of her death she had 4 grand daughters ( Donna, Kelly, Kirsty and Carla and a grandson Matthew). I have since had another daughter Rheanne to my wonderful partner Taff and she now has 3 great grand daughters and 2 great grandsons and another great grandchild on the way. She would have been very proud of us all and i'm just sorry she couldnt have seen them all. She was married to Tommy who sadly died suddenly on 5th may 2003 and she never got over this and sadly followed him 6 weeks later. She was a brilliant mum and nanna and was always there if we needed her and we all miss her so very very much. Till we meet again mum REST IN PEACE. MOTHERS DAY
Well another mothers day without you mam. Ive been up to the cemetery and left you some flowers but i wish you were here to give you them in person. Rheanne came with me and said she hopes you have a good day. Bless her. I wish you could have met her shes a right character, im sure she would have made you laugh. Shes mad about doing jigsaws just like you were. Donna and Kelly both miss you like mad and often come across things that remind them of you. I wish you could have stayed around long enough to meet all your great grandchildren. Me and Taff are getting married in August and its it makes me really sad that you wont be there to finally see me happy, but im sure youll be watching over me. Well Happy Mothers Day Mam. Im sure youll have a drink up there with my nanna for Mothers Day. Give my love to all the rest of the family there with you. Love you and miss you more every day. Well Mam its been 6 years already. I cant believe its been that long, its seems like only yesterday. Theres not a day goes by that i dont think about you and wish you could be here with us. All the family got together yesterday for our Traceys birthday, it was nice to all get together again, its been a while. I'm sure you were watching over us though. I really miss you and cant wait for the day we meet up again. Until then please watch over us all. hi nanna well its 6 years since that awful day n i still remember it like it was yesterday! we was at a bbq at aunty traceys yesterday n it was a good day with the family just wish u could have been there, well u was anyway in all our hearts n minds. i miss you so much i wish ella n kian wud av got the chance to meet u, you were such a fantastic nanna they would have loved you! anyway bye for now love you lots xxxx

Hi mam, sorry i didnt get to put a message on on mothers day. I did try but we were at our Jackies and i didnt know my password. I came to see you at the cemetry but im sure you know that. Hi nanna i know i havent been to see you in a while but your always in my thoughts. i'll make sure cameron and lillie-mae know what a wonderful role model you were for me and what an amazing nanna you were. When cameron gets up in the morning i always ask him who he was talking to in bed that night and he always replys nanna i know your always watching over us and i know you were the one who brought cameron back to us when he was born, cause with out u he wouldnt ave been here. Lillie-mae was born on the 5th of jan this year, her middle name is valerie i hope you don't mind. you influenced my life so much when you was here i knew i want you to be apart of her. i love you so much and miss you terribly i never forget that day we were in the flat together the last time i'll never forgive myself cause i feel i could have done more to help you. Another Christmas without you.
Well Mam Christmas is here once again and another year we're without you. We've been to the cemetry this morning to visit you. We went to see Tommy too and paid a little visit to Joan (Julie's mam). Iwish you could have been here to see Rheanne opening her presents. She's growing up so fast. She insisted on putting the wreath on your grave and wished you and her Bampy a merry christmas. Your memory will always live on as long as the stars shine at night. Whenever she sees the brightest star at night she always says look mummy theres nanna Val and then she looks for Bampy. holidays
Well mam we've just got back from our hols and as usual you were watching over us. Every night when it got dark, Rheanne would look up in the sky for the brightest stars and say look theres nanna Val and Bampy (taffs dad). We had a little chat with the pair of you while we were there and as usual got a bit upset. Even on the plane i looked out of the window and saw the bright stars twinkling at us. Im sure that will have been you and Mick guiding us safely home. I'm sure you already know but your a great grandma again. Our Donna gave birth to a lovely little boy on 23rd sept. Brid
Well mam, went to brid last week to see our Jackie and family. Thought about you a lot while i was there. You would have loved it over there and if you were still here im sure you would have visited them a lot. Our Jackie said she would have had you moved in by now. You always loved it at the seaside.
